The inside is just like the pictures - modern, clean, includes everything, has laundry, spacious, full kitchen, lots of sleep space and the people are all so responsive and friendly. Unit 2 provided us with the accommodation we were looking for in a quiet and comfortable residential setting.  Those in adjoining units were friendly and courteous and we found the nearby access to the beach, wildlife preserves and local diving site a big plus.

Chris McRoberts provided a warm welcome and a friendly feel to daily living at Isla Palma. He was on hand to fix a reluctant shower drain and help me get a temperamental gas barbeque fired up. His cordial interactions added useful information about where to go and what to do while visiting the local area.

When it comes to furnishings and appliances, the central AC was quiet and easy to control with its digital thermostat. There were, however, a couple of other things we put on our “it would be nice to have” list. The first is an exhaust fan over the stove that would extract cooking odors. The fan on the microwave simply spread those odors throughout the unit. Another useful addition would be a lamp and some extra seating in the living room. That’s a pretty short list and a testimony to a nice place for a vacation, one that we will fondly recall.

We rented unit #4 for our first vacation with our 4 month old daughter, so it was important for us to find an affordable place to stay which included 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and laundry for this reason. We had never previously been to this location, and read all of the reviews for Isla Palma before booking so that helped set our expectations.

Pros
- can’t beat the location! Singer Island is wonderful and has local restaurants and shops that you can walk to and scenic streets to stroll around. We really liked this area
- the beach is gorgeous, clear water and not too cold. The rental is super close to the ocean and close to beautiful views from the nearby marina. The walk from the street entrance to the sand is also really pretty
- while the rental building is older, the unit had an updated kitchen, bathrooms, appliances, etc. which seem to be well cleaned and maintained
- Christopher is truly available 24/7 and is extremely quick to respond to questions and requests. He also lives on the property and checks in often to make sure your needs are met

Cons
- while the unit definitely meets all of your basic needs, it could have a few more things in it to make it cozy - there wasn’t a coffee table in what is a larger living room area, windows wouldn’t open, etc.
- if you are planning to cook in the unit often, there isn’t a lot of silverware/pots/mugs to use
- while the unit does have beach chairs and umbrellas to borrow, they are a bit run down. We opted to rent loungers and umbrellas on the beach, which were comfortable and convenient but expensive ($60 per day for 2 loungers + umbrella)
- parents: if you’re planning to use the unit’s pack and play, definitely bring your own sheets or consider bringing your own pack and play instead - again, first time traveling with a baby so maybe this is common sense but I found the one that was provided to be gross (lots of stains/yellowing) and was so happy that we decided to bring our own at the last minute
- we were disappointed by the outdoor space - the area in the back with the hot tub and grill looked a bit junky and we didn’t end up using it much. We used the front balcony a lot which was nice, but the space is definitely small
- as others noted, Chris does share information about his political beliefs. We expected this after reading reviews so it wasn’t surprising when they came up. I don’t share his beliefs and while I do think it’s unnecessary for him to discuss them with guests, it didn’t bother me and it was a relatively short conversation

Beautiful & Modern!

We were fortunate enough to find this completely furnished and fully loaded home for our getaway trip to Singer Island.The unit was beautiful, modern and had great amenities.Our two favorite things were the hot tub and the air hockey table which was in our unit. The state of the art washer and dryer were very useful after our trips to the beach. Important to note how close this property is to the AMAZING beach nearby. The sand is so white and soft, and the water is so clean. Beautiful yactch watching right from the shore… All in all it was a wonderful trip…

Wonderful Stay With My Family!

I had a wonderful stay at Isla Palma with my family. The place is decorated to perfection, with modern furniture and wonderful kitchen. It’s stocked with all necessities for cooking, beaching or staying in and relaxing. The cleanliness was A+! The rooms were so spacious and we all slept great on the comfortable beds! We can’t wait to return.

Everything You Need!

The home is in a perfect location. Just a few minutes from the beach and if you have kids a cute playground. You will find everything you need inside from cooking supplies to beach chairs and beach towels. Home was spotless when arrived, check-in was super easy and all the Vacasa team was very helpful when needed. Definitely planning a trip back soon!
